Metal
Autumn · Value · Inspiration · Letting Go
Autumn teaches one of nature's most beautiful lessons. The trees release their leaves—not because each one was once green or beautiful, but because what has completed its purpose is allowed to fall. As the leaves disappear, the structure of the tree becomes visible. This is the nature of Metal.
Metal is connected with value, quality, inspiration, respect, and our ability to recognize what is precious, while also giving us the ability to release what has finished. Its emotion is grief—grief reflects the fact that something mattered.
Lung — Receiving Pure Qi from the Heavens
Again and again, the Lung receives something essential from the world around us—inspiration, richness, value: a breathtaking landscape, music that moves us, a relationship we treasure. Healthy Metal lets us take these moments in rather than rushing past them.
Large Intestine — Drainage and Dregs
Receiving and releasing are inseparable. The Large Intestine represents the process of elimination and release—old belongings, old ideas, old identities. Letting go doesn't mean they were meaningless; it means their season has passed.
Metal asks: What do I value—and what am I ready to release?
